Pepsi Flower

How about a recycled Pepsi Flower.  I wanted a metal flower and had no metal thin enough to go through the die cutting machine so looking around my studio I spotted an empty Pepsi Max can and thought yep that will do.. So I Cut the top and bottom off, cleaned it (not much there to clean lol), slit it up the middle and voila metal for a flower …

Materials:

Pepsi Max can

Adirondack Alcohol Inks – Eggplant, Sunshine Yellow, Cranberry, Lettuce

Tim Holtz Alterations die – Tattered Florals

Couture Creations Embossing folder –  Drifting Endless

Merci Gem Brads

Manual Die Cutting Machine

Die Cut the four flower petals from the Tattered Floral die…

Emboss the petals with the Drifting Endless Folder.

Place drops of Alcohol inks on the Distress dauber..

Dab onto the metal flowers..

I didn’t think the flowers had enough Red so I added more Cranberry ink..

The finished flower, as you can see I have shaped the petals for dimension and added a gem brad in the centre to keep the flower together..

A couple of flowers using this technique..

A finished project…

I hope I have inspired you to create Glorious things..
